The trend on Instagram where people show their transformations has caught a lot of attention. It’s been titillating to the mind on what’s BTS of it! As for me this trend is quite old as I got transformed way before quarantine. So, here’s me, walking you through my journey of it. But before going ahead, here’s an alert — This article will be lucid and will contain some slang.

I was younger than most people who try to loose a couple of pounds. I was 14 years old when I decided to get out from my bulging shape to become a perfectly shaped one. Being so young, there were skeptical discussions done. But finally I consulted a doctor who would help me with my diet chart and exercises. Here’s a fact — I didn’t take any meds to become thin.

Before and After

First off, it was easier for me to lose weight as I was just 14. Hence, all my fat was white fat. I was explained that there are two types of fat — white fat and brown fat. Brown fat is basically the fat which has penetrated the tissues and it is harder to burn whereas, white fat lies just beneath the skin and is easier to burn. As we grow mature, the white fat get transforms into brown fat.

Second off, my diet chart included a lot of food. The biggest mistake I did when I was fat was that I didn’t eat at small intervals and my meals were large. My doc divided those large meals into smaller ones over the interval of the day. Also, I was supposed to cut down the wheat in my diet for a month. The reason being, wheat doesn’t count in complex carbohydrates. Rice, on the other hand, is a complex carbohydrate. Hence, body use fat to digest complex carbs. After a month, the results were promising.

My diet was then changed a bit every two weeks so that I can get every type of nutrition without any type of medicines for it. There was one cheat day every week so that I don’t get exhausted and loose control. After all, the main hack here is ‘How to control’.

When I finally reached 110lbs, I was given a “reverse diet” so that I can get back to my original diet without putting on any further pounds. The reverse diet is meant to strengthen the digestion as during the diet period there were a lot of things which were off the list. I was given one cheese cube and a sandwich every day. After a few weeks, I increased 19lbs which was predicted before hand.

After this whole process completed, I was still under observation for some time. Finally, here I am, writing about it after 2 years. I am still 119lbs and eating all kinds of food. I am a huge foodie and I can’t just keep up my diet track. But I don’t even care because my doc always say, “Be happy and your body will remain the same.” I never kept myself from eating anything even when I was loosing weight. I used to compensate my calories. For an instance, if I am eating a pizza and all junk today, I will be eating complex carbs or no carbs tomorrow. It is however not necessary if its a once-in-awhile thing.
